The Truth Project

"The vast growth in evangelically minded people...should by now have revolutionized American culture....It has simply been been absorbed and tamed....The problem is that while evangelicals have for the most part correct Christian beliefs, for far too many these beliefs lie largely at the periphery of their existence rather than at the center of their identity. At core, they are hollow men, empty selves. If we as the church are to engender a current of reform throughout our culture, then we need laypeople who are intellectually engaged with their faith and take their Christian identity to be definitive for their self-conception." -- David Wells

Do you know what a Christian worldview is, and why it is important to have one? Have you wondered how to engage in a dialogue about Christianity with those holding alternative viewpoints? Then you will find Focus on the Family's study series, The Truth Project, to be a challenging and growing experience. We are hoping to form one or more small groups this Fall to study and learn from each other through 13 lessons providing a strong foundation for a Christian worldview:

  • Veritology: What is Truth?
  • Philosophy & Ethics: Says Who?
  • Anthropology: Who is Man?
  • Theology: Who is God?
  • Science: What is True (Part 1)
  • Science: What is True (Part 2)
  • History: Whose Story?
  • Sociology: The Divine Imprint
  • Unio Mystica: Am I Alone?
  • The State: Whose Law?
  • The American Experiment: Stepping Stones
  • Labor: Created to Create
  • Community and Involvement: God Cares, Do I?

Find out more at The Truth Project Web Site, or contact the church office at 630-832-8416 to express interest in joining a study group.

Small Groups

Small groups of 10-12 people meeting with a defined purpose for a given period are a great way to build relationships, learn, share, pray, and grow in an intimate environment. We are looking to form more small groups of different types at Grace, and encourage everyone to investigate this opportunity.

Contact the church office at 630-832-8416 to express interest in learning about participating in a small group.
