What must we do to have our wedding at Grace Bible Church?
First you must meet with a Pastor about getting married [note other requirements below]. An application must then be completed; this includes instructions and the fee structure for the use of the church. This application must be approved by the Deacon and Trustee Boards upon the recommendation of a Pastor, and the dates for the wedding and rehearsal must be cleared on the church’s master calendar.
What about pre-marital counseling?
Pre-marital counseling is required for everyone getting married at Grace Bible Church or being married by one of our Pastors away from the church. This is composed of several counseling sessions that positively help couples to be better prepared for a good and lasting marriage of loving commitment. Couples are required individually to purchase workbooks for their counseling sessions. Contact one of our Pastors to set up your pre-marital counseling.
Does Grace Bible Church perform weddings for people who do not attend the church?
By church policy, weddings are only performed for church members or regular attendees of Grace Bible Church or family members that are otherwise approved.
What if I’ve been married before but divorced?
Several years ago the church produced a policy statement in regards to this issue and we would be glad to give you a copy, upon request, from the church office. If you have further questions after reading the policy, please contact one of our Pastors.
